Officers Retreat
On the dates of August tenth through the thirteenth the Tenino FFA and ASB teams took our yearly officers retreat at a campsite in Mossyrock. Each of the teams worked together to prepare for the upcoming school year and its activities, as well as bond more as teams. Puyallup Fair
September 14 presented 16 FFA kids with a fun experience. These members judged livestock at the Puyallup Fair and did extremely well. Kim Taylor received a second place and Jacob Gilbreath received first place out of 200 kids. We also had a team place second over all. Blue and Gold Tour
September 24 was the annual District three Blue and Gold Tour. This event was held at Rochester High School and had members from all over our district attend including two members from Tenino and Jayda Jessie who is the district three Treasurer. Multiple leadership work shops were put on by the WA state officers and our members enjoyed it very much. |
Thurston County Fair
The dates of July 29 through the 3rd of August provided 16 of Tenino FFA kids with the opportunity to show and sell at the Thurston County Fair. Terran Gilbreath took grand champion showman in the senior showing class and Matthew Rounsley also took grand champion in the junior show class. Also Garret Kalkus received a reserve grand champion with his heifer. Courtney Pendergast, Jayda Jessie, and Braelyn Weatherbie's animals were all used in this years livestock judging competition in which all members of Tenino FFA participated. Grange Work
The weekends of September 13 and the 20th the Tenino FFA teamed up with the Skookumchuck Grange. On the 13th eight members of our chapter helped to scrape the old paint off the building and the on the 20th a painter was hired to paint the entire building. |
